Hello, welcome to our site. Many of us are finding ourselves more stressed, busy, and frustrated with kids, family, work and relationships, thus leaving us feeling overwhelmed and out of options. I would be honored to work with you to help negotiate life’s transitions.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, receiving my masters degree in 1990.

I have worked in private practice, in-patient hospital treatment, and chemical dependency treatment as well as with school issues at an elementary school.

As a therapist of 30 years, I have helped individuals, adolescents, couples and families to maintain intimacy in relationships, satisfaction in their job and personal self-fulfillment. I engage easily with people of all kinds. I combine a unique blend of warmth, compassion, humor and a caring realistic style to develop a trusting relationship with each person I have the honor of helping.

I work with a wide variety of emotional and behavioral issues, providing services that span from therapy for depression and anxiety to parenting support, couples counseling, family therapy, chemically dependency and women’s group therapy.

At some point in our life we all encounter times of uncertainty or periods of change and transition. I create a caring, safe, motivating environment utilizing a blend of warmth, compassion, humor, and humanity to develop trusting relationships with each child, adolescent, adult, family, and couple I have the honor of working with. In trying to create change, often people focus on what isn’t working and view life through a deficit lens. I feel it is important to highlight strengths and what is working as well. I believe change comes from people or families experiencing themselves differently. We all get stuck in negative thoughts, patterns, and relationships. Having “actual” different experiences will help what we know in our heads and help connect the head and heart, facilitating long-lasting change.

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and a Criminology certificate at the University of Utah and received my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy at University of San Diego.

I have gained over 20 years of experience in a variety of settings, including a residential treatment facility for children, a foster care agency, and outpatient clinics. I work with children, families, adults and couples. Depending on the individual or families needs, I take an eclectic approach. I don’t think one size fits all. I can incorporate art and play therapy with children, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, solution focused therapy, and take a systemic approach to family therapy. I also work with couples in premarital therapy.

I have experience working with families and children, helping navigate through the 504 and IEP process, collaborating with teachers and administration either as a part of the support system or as an advocate.
